Below are symbols from Spying and Hobo Signs class in the Moon Tree.
During the 'Great Depression' in America, people who were out-of-work would jump on trains to travel across the country looking for jobs.
They would often leave symbols on the rails for those traveling after them. It was an early form of graffiti, but with the purpose
of warning travelers of dangers and informing them of kind strangers.
Moon Tree students take a class called "Spying and Hobo Signs" and learn some of these "Hobo" symbols.
Can you guess what each of these three signs mean?
