In 1975, Hino, adopted Thunderer of the Iroquois nation, Guardian of the skies, eternal enemy of evil and Overseer of the Seelie Court planted nine Moon Tree seeds. (Yes, his title is long but he has a lot of jobs to do.)
He planted these seeds in a circle, to provide a cluster with an inner protected recreational area in the center. Each seed was planted at the time of a phase of the moon, to empower them.
The main tree is the Full Moon Tree. It houses the school, dorms, a clinic and teachers quarters.
Traveling to the left is the Waxing Gibbous Moon tree. Clothing is constructed and stored here, food is also stored here, and in the uppermost branches of the tree, are rooms for study.
The next two trees, planted at the first quarter moon and the waxing crescent moon, did not flourish. Hino says it is a sign of the evil and cruelty that invades humans. The trees do form a hallway into the New Moon Tree where the small children are housed and cared for.
When you live inside a tree, most of your furniture, doors, etc are made of wood. But the doors into and out of the next tree are heavily locked metal doors. This tree is the Dark Moon tree and it touches on the deepest recesses of man, and it is used for study of the Darkness. Students under seventeen will not usually be in the Dark Moon tree.
The Wanning Crescent and Last Quarter trees did not flourish either and form a hallway to the Waning Gibbous Tree.
The Waning Gibbous Tree holds a full hospital, with counseling and healing services, overflow housing, and rooms for study.
This is a diagram of the Moon Tree Cluster, where the brothers now live.
