Fairies live unaffected by television, advertisements and fast food restaurants, so although they have a reputation for eating only fairy cakes, they are actually very healthy eaters. A tribe of fairies cook for the Moon Tree cluster and the student's choices are usually very healthy: fruits, nuts, oats, whole grains, vegetables and salads.

There are other creatures in the Moon Tree World who are carnivores and omnivores, so chicken is served also.

Since we all need a treat occasionally, approximately once a month, the students gather around the campfire for "Human foods night." Their tables are loaded with hamburgers and fries, hot dogs and chili, spaghetti and pizza, and tons of deserts.

In keeping with full disclosure, many of the fairies healthy foods are candied, glazed and maple sugared. And, there is the dark chocolate that Miss Blessing requested. After all, even teachers need a treat occasionally too.
